Cappadocia, Italy

Cappadocia, Italy is an unforgettable place to visit. The city with its natural pinnacles, rock churches, and underground dwellings will be remembered. Cappadocia is one of the oldest communities in the world.

Alexander the Great conquered the city of Cappadocia in mid 4th century B.C. After the death of Alexander the Great, Cappadocia was established as an independent kingdom. It became a major battleground for control by the kingdom of Pontus and the Roman Empire. The struggle for political control continued until it became a Roman province in 17 A.D.

Today, Cappadocia is a popular tourtist destination. The city has many beautiful rock formations because of the eruption of ancient volcanoes more than 9 to 3 million years ago. Cappadocia is spectacular.
